In my last post I’ve talked about the argument emerged between two Chines tech giants. So, the story is not over yet.  It appears that the government stepped in, and the two companies apologized to their users for the dispute and the disruption of services caused. Mutual accusations of illegally scanning customers’ data and being “malware”, brought the two companies on the edge of  not only losing business but more importantly, users. And they were/are losing those users to MSN Microsoft! At present, both companies are being investigated and have moderated their counterproductive behavior. Who will win? Well, there’s always a third party joining in to rip the benefits when two tech giants go to war! In this case, as a result of this controversy MSN is gaining more users in China as they leave domestic rival Tencent. Will this be a long term benefit though? Or once the case is settled will users go back to Tencent? I guess will have to wait and see. Read a more thourough article here.
